The Megaphonics The Megaphonics is a group of professional musicians that have been on stage most of their lives. With a combined experience of over 25 years Tinna, Marius, Mihnea, Cosmin, Andy and Nick got together out of the desire to create a cover project that does it all. Thus Megaphonics was born, a band where class & style meet fun & funky and crazy passionate musicians leave their hearts out on the stage and keep their audiences enchanted and thoroughly entertained. TINNA (Cristina Dobrescu) - You could hear the actual sound of jaws hitting the floor the first time Tinna stepped on the X Factor stage in 2011 and blew the roof off with an AC/DC cover, since nobody expected such incredibly powerful voice to come from such a tiny person. Though she keeps suprising everyone Tinna has been owning each moment she spent on stage since she was 6 years old. In 2012 she left her native port town city Constanta to conquer the world with her talent and is now an accomplished musician and a CVT vocal coach, and a songwriter, sharing her time between the stage, the studio and teaching. MARIUS Popescu's introduction to playing a musical instrument happened at 9 years old with his first great love, the mandolin. Six years later though he fell on love with the guitar and they have been inseparable ever since. He has been an invaluable member of several mainstream projects, cover bands, studio sessions and productions for various romanian artists. Extremely passionate, he loves to share his knowledge to others so he gives private guitar lessons. MIHNEA Stanescu is the one crazy Megaphonic who thought one major at The Conservatory is not enough, so he took it upon himself to own an impressive doble major from the UNMB (National University of Music Bucharest), in musical pedagogy and classical singing. Mihnea has been playing black-and-white keys since he remembers. He sings in the National Romanian Radio Orchestra for 14 years and in the past 10 he has been featured prominently in various bands as a keyboard player and vocalist. COSMIN Farcas’s extensive experience as a keyboard player and vocalist includes many projects. A jazz, blues, funk and rock aficionado Cosmin soon discovered his interest for that special kind of fusion that merges new music with old ones: electro-jazz, nu-jazz, nu-disco, experimental, influences which can be found also in his electronic project. Besides these, he works as a studio musician and composer/producer on his solo project and other various artists. ANDY Avadanoaei is a Bucharest Conservatory graduate licenced in jazz and composition. He has been studying both classical and jazz guitar since the age of 13 years old, and he has been an undeniable presence of the Romanian jazz stage, headlining several festivals with various projects. Andy is also an accomplished bass guitarist. Apart from his stage activity, he spends his time working in the studio and giving guitar and bass lessons. NICK (Nicolae Lichirie) is the beating heart of The Megaphonics and he has been a passionate drummer since he discovered his affinity for rhythm at the age of 16 years old, while he was training to become a telecommunication specialist. His magnetic stage presence and energy turned him into one of the most sought after drummers in the country and the number of succesful projects of all genres he has been a part of could barely fit here.
