Thursday, August 31, 2017 ARTIST SPOTLIGHT James Meadows Tower Music Group Single Carolina Moon Songwriter Bryan Kirk Producer David Castle Hometown Abington, VA Bio: Virginia native, James Meadows is an ASCAP afiliated singer/ songwriter. Growing up deep in the beautiful hills and hollers of the Appalachian Mountains of Southwest Virginia instilled a passion and work ethic unlike any other. Even though he has performed around the country, Meadows has never forgotten his roots. Those roots run deep throughout Meadows’ music. He spent eight years in Johnson City where he graduated with a dual degree from East Tennessee State University. While in college Meadows became involved with the ETSU Bluegrass, Old Time, and Country Music program where he honed his songwriting, vocal, and guitar skills as he played in bands featuring top notch talent from all over the world. In 2005, James made the fateful decision to debut as a solo act at the famous Down Home in Johnson City, TN on an open mic night. It was at that very irst performance that a local studio owner approached Meadows. He was very impressed by Meadows’ performance, and encouraged Meadows to let his original music be heard. Since that night, Meadows has been perfecting his craft. Country fans have seen him open for headliners like Heidi Newield and Bucky Covington. Meadows garnered praise for his mesmerizing stage performances and gripping songwriting skills from critics and fans alike.
