Hunt Midwest Announces Expansion of Nearly 70000 Square Feet

PRESS RELEASE Hunt Midwest Announces Expansion of Nearly 70,000 Square Feet for Three Tenants at SubTropolis Underground Business Complex Advanced Logistics and Fulfi llment, Media Services/Shred Time and Best Service Stores are expanding KANSAS CITY, Mo – September 27, 2010 – Hunt Midwest Real Estate Development has announced that three tenants have expanded by a combined total of 68,900 square feet at SubTropolis, the world’s largest underground business complex. The tenants are: Advanced Logistics and Fulfi llment, Best Service Stores and Media Services/ Shred Time. Advanced Logistics and Fulfi llment is adding 21,600 square feet to its existing light manufacturing facility, which will expand the facility to 151,175 square feet. A woman-owned business, Advanced Logistics and Fulfi llment provides assembly and fulfi llment of Point-of-Purchase display units and also handles a wide variety of hand work and various types of labor that require personal attention. “We decided to stay in SubTropolis and expand here due to the low overall cost of occupancy,” said President Karen Mathes. “In addition, SubTropolis’ ‘naturally green’ environment complements ALF’s active participation in the sustainability packaging movement.” Best Service Stores has expanded its space by 41,100 square feet, bringing its total footprint to 101,100 square feet. Best Service Stores is a Lenexa, Kansas-based online retailer that is a one-stop source for everyday consumer products at incredible prices. The privately held company – whose online stores include HobbyWarehouse.com; TheJungleStore.com; World of Bags.com; and ArsaToys.com – is committed to a “no compromises” service philosophy that promises no hassles and low prices. Media Services/Shred Time has recently leased an additional 6,200 square feet in SubTropolis, bringing its total square footage to 97,200. It is the only locally owned, complete document management company in the greater Kansas City area. Media Services/Shred Time – which has operated in SubTropolis since 1997 – off ers companies wide ranging services that include vault storage, record storage and retrieval, content management software, secure shredding and document imaging.
