(49 cartons, 3 document boxes) ABSTRACT The Polis Center is a research center established in 1989 and affiliated with IUPUI and its School of Liberal Arts that focuses on Indianapolis and Indiana-related research projects. The majority of the records included here form the Indianapolis Congregations Archives from the Religion and Urban Culture project. Data compiled was analyzed to produce several books and other studies of religious life in Indianapolis. Records include statistical reports, survey information, interviews, records and information on Indianapolis neighborhoods and individual congregations, and other materials. ACCESS Personnel and student records and other personal information in these records are restricted. All other material is open to the public without restriction.
