As the presence of 20 Members was confirmed, he proceeded to the voting session. The Chair pointed out that the vacant post of 4th Vice-Chair is reserved to a female Member, in line with Rule 213 (1) RoP. The Chair : announced the names of the Substitute Members taking part in the vote (M Gonzales Casares replacing Ms Carvalhais) called for nominations for the election of the 4th Vice-Chair. The 1st Vice-Chair Mr Peter Van Dalen proposed on behalf of EPP Group the candidacy of Ms Maria da Graça Carvalho, a full Member in PECH Committee. Ms Carvalho confirmed her willingness to stand and, in the absence of any other candidate, she was elected as the 4th Vice-Chair by acclamation in accordance with the rules (Rule 213(2)). 5.
