SPRING TOUR TO THE BLENNERHASSETT ISLAND HISTORICAL STATE PARK. May 14th, 15th & 16th Join Thurston Woods Village as they travel to Parkersburg, West Virginia to visit the Blennerhassett Museum & Island State Park. Experience the intriguing past of one of West Virginia’s most historic cities, Parkersburg, at the Blennerhassett Museum of Regional History, this museum was established in April of 1988 in order to preserve, protect and exhibit Parkersburg and West Virginia history. After our visit to the museum we will hop aboard a sternwheeler riverboat to cross the Ohio River and arrive at the island state park. We will partake in a guided tour of the replicated mansion of Harman and Margaret Blennerhassett, enjoy a hot lunch, and then end our tour with a horse drawn carriage ride around the island.
