ANDY WEIDL VICE PRESIDENT OF PLAYER PERSONNEL NFL Experience: 23rd season (5th with Eagles) College: Villanova Hometown: Pittsburgh, PA Andy Weidl enters his fifth season with the Philadelphia Eagles CAREER TIMELINE and was promoted to vice president of player personnel during the 2019 offseason. Weidl originally joined the organization in 2016 as the YEARS TEAM POSITION assistant director of player personnel, and was promoted to director of 2019- Philadelphia Eagles Vice President of Player Personnel player personnel in 2018. 2018 Philadelphia Eagles Director of Player Personnel Weidl has played an integral role in helping construct rosters that 2016-17 Philadelphia Eagles Asst. Director of Player Personnel won five playoff games between 2017-18, including the first Super Bowl 2013-16 Baltimore Ravens East Regional Scout championship in franchise history in 2017. That year, the Eagles cap- 2009-12 Baltimore Ravens Northeast Scout tured Super Bowl LII with a 41-33 victory over the New England Patriots on February 4, 2018. 2005-08 Baltimore Ravens West Area Scout Prior to joining the Eagles in 2016, Weidl worked for the Baltimore 2003-04 New Orleans Saints Northeast Area Scout Ravens from 2005-16 and was on Ravens general manager Ozzie New- 2000-02 New Orleans Saints National Combine Scout some’s staff when Baltimore won Super Bowl XLVII in 2012. In Baltimore, 1998-99 Pittsburgh Steelers Player Personnel Assistant Weidl worked with former Eagles vice president of player personnel and current New York Jets general manager Joe Douglas. Weidl originally joined the Ravens staff in 2005 as a West area scout and served in that capacity for four seasons before transitioning into a Northeast scout for the club in 2009. After working in that role for four years, Weidl finished his Ravens career as the club’s East regional scout from 2013-16. Over the course of Weidl’s career in Baltimore, the team acquired the following players from his focus areas: DL Timmy Jernigan, FB Kyle Juszczyk, five-time Pro Bowler DL Haloti Ngata, WR Torrey Smith, QB Tyrod Taylor and OL John Urschel. Prior to his stint with the Ravens, Weidl was a Northeast area scout (2003-04) and a national combine scout (2000-02) for the New Orleans Saints. Weidl began his scouting career with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 1998, where he evaluated college and professional players for two seasons as a player personnel assistant. Celebrated as the Thomas J. Burke Award recipient for his “consis- tent performance and dedication” as an offensive lineman at Villanova, Weidl earned his undergraduate degree in communications (1996) and a master’s degree in human resource development (1997).
