Who does the Hosting? ​ Squarespace is an all-in-one platform. This means, they will be both your site-hosting platform as well as your Content Management System (CMS). (For Example, Wordpress is another CMS.) What about my Domain? ​ You can choose to host your domain (i.e. yourdomain.com) on Squarespace or host it elsewhere (i.e. Godaddy or Namecheap) and I'll just connect it to your site. Either is fine. ● If you buy your domain through Squarespace, it's grouped into your one bill and one account, which is handy vs paying multiple vendors. ● Due to cost, many folks choose to host their domain through a different provider, and just have me connect the domain to the website. Namecheap, for example, is generally less expensive than Squarespace for domains. Squarespace is usually around $20/year for domains. Can I have branded Email? ​ Squarespace has a relationship with Google Suite. You can choose to add-on branded email to your Squarespace package and this just means the billing is all grouped together in one bill/one account - which is handy vs. paying two vendors. The price is the same as it is with Google on its own: $6/per user per month. You would access your email through gmail. How much does Squarespce cost? Plans are $12-26 / month depending on your needs. See Squarespace pricing here. For small business or a personal ​ ​ website, the only reason you would have a "Business" level plan is if you need custom code/embedding, or if you wanted to use their Commerce platform to sell products online. ● Please note: wherever it says that domain or email are included - it is misleading.
