This breathtaking town is located about forty minutes from San Gimignano on a sharp hill that offers an astonishing view. It is famous for being one of the most ancient Etruscan cities in the area. Visit Piazza dei Priori and the Town Hall, where everything happens. The Guarnacci Etruscan Museum features its main attractions of the bronze statuette "Shadow of the Night" and the sculpted effigy of an Etruscan couple in terra cotta. The historical Cathedral features a particular roof design and its cross shaped plan. Take in the ruins of the Roman theatre (1st century BC), excavated in the 1950s.
