Residential Area Descriptions For 2009-2010 Residential Areas Each residential area is different and we want you to be comfortable living and working in an environment that you specify. Cougar Village Sophomores and older are allowed to live in Cougar Village. Each apartment has 3-4 residents, Singles: depending on the size of apartment. There are 8 apartments in each building. Each RA is responsible for 1-2 buildings. You are able to choose your roommates. Cougar Village RAs are not required to have a meal plan. Cougar Village Family Housing consists of married students and single students with children. There are a total of Families: 14 family housing buildings. Each apartment has 1 family. Each RA is responsible for 2-3 buildings. You will live in a family-housing apartment with either your family or roommates. Cougar Village RAs are not required to have a meal plan. Bluff Hall: Freshmen students live in Bluff. Bluff is home to the Focused Interest Communities (FICs). There is one FIC for on each wing, 11 in total. Each RA is responsible for a wing (32-48 residents). Bluff RAs are required to purchase a meal plan. See reverse side for more information on the FICs. Evergreen Hall: Sophomores and older are allowed to live in Evergreen Hall. Evergreen contains 4 & 6-person suites and apartments, as well as single rooms with a small kitchenette. Each RA is responsible for an area (32-48 residents). Evergreen RAs are not required to have a meal plan. Additionally, Evergreen will house the Second Year Experience Program. See the reverse side for more information on the Second Year Experience. Prairie Hall: Freshmen students live in Prairie. Prairie is home of the Horizons program, a Freshman Year Experience Program. Each RA is responsible for a wing (32-48 residents). Prairie RAs are required to purchase a meal plan. See reverse side for more information on the Horizons program. There is a possibility that there will be a wing of upper-class students in Prairie. Woodland Hall: Freshmen students live in Woodland. Woodland is home of the Students Improving Society (SIS) program. Each RA is responsible for a wing (32-48 residents). Woodland RAs are required to purchase a meal plan. See reverse side for more information on the SIS program. There is a possibility that there will be a wing of upper-class students in Woodland. .
