WALDORF-TINI £19.00 A martini made with either Tanqueray 10 and grapefruit bitters or Grey Goose Vodka with ginger bitters, then stirred with Noilly Prat dry vermouth in a golden shaker and garnished with edible gold. LAST NIGHT £19.50 This divine and refreshing aperitif is dedicated to you, our gorgeous guests. Kremlin vodka, Dubonnet, fresh lemon juice, apricot brandy, grapefruit bitters and a Campari spray. GENTLEMEN’S HANDSHAKE £22.50 A long time ago, a handshake was more than enough to seal a deal. This cocktail recalls those simpler times. A traditional Old Fashioned, made with Havana Club Seleccion de Maestros. THE MONARCH’S COCKTAIL SERVICE £110.00 This classic champagne cocktail serves two. Flûtes arrive with a lump of sugar coated with angostura bitters and a measure of premium Martell XO Cognac poured on top. A bottle of Perrier Juoet is served on the side so that you can top up at your leisure. GOOD GODFREY’S SIGNATURES Our very own mixologist created these out of sheer talent and love of a great cocktail. d PERFECT HOST £14.00 Named after the legendary 'Perfect Host'; Rafael "Papi" Valiente, sales manager at Bacardi during the 1920's in Cuba (Prohibition time in USA), who used to greet his American guests at the airport and show them the city sights. This drink was created for the Bacardi Legacy Competition in 2013. Bacardi Superior, apple R]QKMTQUMR]QKM[]OIZ[aZ]XJI[QTKMTMZaIVLMOO_PQ\M± B i SILK TOUCH £14.00 i Martini rosato, dry white Port, Bacardi Superior, fresh lime and lychee a juice with a touch of caramel. A light, refreshing cocktail with a complex hint of berries and silky caramel with a long finish and me dium body. A martini made with either Tanqueray 10 and grapefruit bitters TANGO ESSENCE £14.00 o In 1910 The Waldorf launched its famous Argentinean Tango Tea Dance. d Like the dance itself, expect a cocktail full of emotions. Beefeater 24 Gin, Mandarin Napoleon, forest tea, fresh lemon juice, vanilla sugar and a dash of rose water. T REFINED MADAM £14.00 g In 19th century London, badly made gin was known as “Madam Geneva”. g We combine premium brand Tanqueray 10 with rose liqueur, fresh lime juice, lavender bitters and cardamom syrup to create a rather more Refined Madam. GODFREY’S COBBLER £14.00 T One of the most famous cocktails of the 1880’s (at that time made with m Sherry) and the first cocktail to be served with a straw. Mozart dry chocolate liqueur, Byrhh wine-based French aperitif, fresh lemon juice, vanilla, sugar and fresh berries, which is served traditionally over garnished fruits. o ASTOR HIP FLASK £17.00 M A celebration of the owner of the famous Waldorf Astoria in New York, i William Waldorf Astor, who invested in the hotel in 1908. This Bourbon-based cocktail is mixed with top secret ingredients, aged in a small barrel and served in a hip flask. Hip flask available as a souvenir for £35.00 empty or £50.00 with the cocktail. FORGOTTEN CLASSICS SAZERAC £12.50 T Created in New Orleans by Antoine Amedee Peychaud, this was originally T made with Cognac but was switched to Rye Whiskey after the phylloxera destroyed entire French vineyards. Your choice of either Cognac or Rye Whiskey combined with sugar and Peychaud’s bitters, served neat in an old h fashioned glass rinsed with Absinthe and garnished with a lemon twist. CLOVER CLUB £12.50 This pre-Prohibition classic first made its appearance in “The Old Waldorf- Astoria Bar Book” in 1935 and was created in Philadelphia in a gentlemen’s club with the same name. A mix of Gin, raspberry syrup, egg white, fresh s lemon juice and shaken with fresh raspberries. MARTINEZ £13.00 This old classic appeared in the first-ever cocktail book “How to Mix F Drinks or The Bon Vivant’s Companion” by “The Professor” Jerry Thomas t in 1862. It is believed to be the predecessor of the classic Martini, only with a reverse ratio. Heavier on Carpano Antica sweet vermouth than it is on Hayman’s Old Tom Gin, it also features Maraschino liqueur and the £ remade Boker’s bitters. THE LAST WORD £13.50 This long-forgotten cocktail from the US Prohibition era was created a by Frank Fogarty at the Detroit Athletic Club. Equal measures of Gin, Green Chartreuse liqueur, fresh lime juice and Maraschino liqueur. VIEUX CARRÉ £13.50 o Created at the Monteleone Hotel in where is now known as the Caroussel L Bar in New Orleans by Walter Bergeron. Rye Whiskey, Cognac, sweet S vermouth, Benedictine liqueur, Angostura and Peychaud’s bitters. s CORPSE REVIVER #2 £13.50 Created by head bartender Harry Craddock at the American Bar. He used to say “Four of these taken in swift succession will unrevive the corpse again”. o A blend of Gin, Cointreau, Cochi Americano, fresh lemon juice and a dash i of Absinthe. ETERNAL CLASSICS TOM COLLINS £12.50 This classic first appeared in the 1876 edition of “The Bartender’s Guide” by m Jerry Thomas. A long, refreshing cocktail made of Hayman’s Old Tom Gin, d fresh lemon juice and sugar syrup topped with soda water. If you prefer you can W have it with Bourbon which is known as a John Collins. f OLD FASHIONED £12.50 The first use of the name “Old Fashioned” was for a Bourbon based cocktail at the Pendennis Club, a gentlemen’s club in Louisville Kentucky in the 1880’s. Classically handsome, heart warming cocktail made from Bourbon, sugar and bitters, served on the rocks with an orange twist. l WALDORF BLOODY MARY £13.50 One of the many stories about the creation of the Bloody Mary credited Fernand Petiot in 1921 at the Harry’s New York Bar in Paris. A mix of vodka, tomato juice and our own very special house blend of spices to create the definitive Waldorf British classic pick-me-up with a twist.
