However, we certainly made the most of the occasion, despite the not so good weather. The attendance was impressive, with many guests and members at Beauty Point. Thanks to all our guests, including our Premier, Peter Gutwein, who declared our season open and also officially opened our recently built shed and boat ramp. Thanks to all who participated in the sail past and a huge thankyou to all who provided a plate for the afternoon tea. It was good to see members staying on after the opening and enjoying a social time in the clubrooms. The Clubroom and grounds looked a picture, and all our members should be proud of the Club and its history. There are a lot of people who work hard behind the scenes to make these events happen, the list is long, we all owe them a vote of thanks. It is very pleasing to see the new shed and boat ramp working well, the beach area is much safer and less congested. The new ramp and Bucky Motor’s car has made launching of all boats much easier. The weather is on the improve so get the boat out, keep an eye on the sailing and social calendar and join in.
