Trident Academy of Martial Arts Presents ERIK PAULSON COMBAT SUBMISSION WRESTLING For over thirty years, Erik Paulson has been training and studying the art of grappling. He is renowned worldwide for his many no-holds-barred and pay-per-view tournaments. He has never been beaten in Japan where he is the World light-Heavyweight Shootwrestling Champion. In addition, Erik has trained under the Gracie Brothers and the Machado Brothers in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Erik blends Judo, Freestyle wrestling, and Greco-Roman wrestling with submissions and maneuvers from Shootwrestling, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Sambo, and Catchascatchcan. Mr. Paulson is a Full Instructor in the art of Jeet Kune Do/Jun Fan Gung Fu under Guro Dan Inosanto, and one of the chief grappling instructors at the Inosanto Academy. Erik’s system, Combat Submission Wrestling, blends grappling techniques and concepts from Judo, Freestyle Wrestling and Greco-Roman Wrestling with techniques and submissions from Shootwrestling, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Sambo and Catchascatchcan, as well as striking from Boxing, Muay Thai, French Savate, and STX (his own Savate-Thai Boxing Cross).
