She’s wearing a quarantine mask in leather and doesn’t bother to knock. Nothing in this living world would upset her except late rents and polkas. The night nurse’s crying in her coffee in an all-night café. Life is but a string well-tuned or cut. The sign of the Saint James Hotel’s twinkles, it’s a bad wire and a burned connection.
