Therefore, it’s suggested that you write, edit, and review the essay and responses in a Word document and then copy and paste into SurveyMonkey. For videos: Upload to a private YouTube link and paste it in SurveyMonkey. TIME FRAME: The application tool will close at 11pm on Sunday, March 31, 2019. No late applications will be accepted. Applicants will be informed of scholarship decisions via email no later than close of business on Friday, May 3rd, 2019. All decisions of the scholarship awards by the LOCAL Coalition will be final and not open to further review or discussion. PERSONAL ESSAY/VIDEO: We encourage you to use personal experiences as you describe the impact of North Carolina’s school calendar law. Issues to consider: • Should local school calendars be controlled by officials on the state or local level, why? • Are students positively or negatively impacted by the current law? BGC GAP MINISTRY GUIDELINES FOR SCHOLARSHIP SUBMISSION The mission of the Baptist Grove Church GAP Ministry Book Scholarship is to recognize our High School students with a monetary gift who have demonstrated academic achievement, community service and discipleship by Living in Fellowship, Living by Faith and Living to Serve. Scholarship Eligibility: High school graduates are eligible for consideration for a one-time Baptist Grove Church book scholarship.
