Add works from another systems (See the screenshot) ORCID can connect to other information systems and the works will be automatically added to your profile, examples: Scopus, Web of Science, Publons (Ex ResearchID), EuroPMC, …. In general, the login process is simple and intuitive to follow. All publications indexed in Scopus can be added to ORCID ID, either through “connect to ORCID” from Scopus, or “Search & link” from ORCID. Scopus-Elsevier makes it possible to import a large number of publications with good quality bibliographical references. Publons, CrossRef and DataCite also allow an auto-update . - To add works from Scopus for more information; Manage my Scopus Profile - To add works from CrossRef Metadata : video « import works into your ORCID record from another system » It is advisable to allow CrossRef to update your profile information, by responding to the notification it will send you by email. Only one authorization is required. The auto-update is triggered when the researcher submits an article to a journal and provides ORCID. 2. Adding works using another identifier (See the screenshot) It is possible to add a works using one of the following identifiers : DOI (Crossref, DataCite, and mEDRA), ArXiv ID, or PubMed ID, via the section “Works”, “+ Add works” then « +Add ArXiv ID », « +Add DOI », or « +Add PubMed ID ». 3. Adding works with a BibTeX file (See the screenshot) The works references must first be exported into BibTex format. The resulting BibTex file is imported into ORCID to integrate the references into the profile. The quality of the metadata in the BibTex file depends mainly on the source from which it is imported. Google Scholar, is interesting as long as the researcher has an up-to-date profile in Google Scholar. Note that DOIs are absent from the metadata; the same works will be shown in two records: one with DOI (e.g.fromScopus) and one without from Google scholar. However, if the researcher has significant amount of grey literature in his or her profile, the use of Google Scholar can be useful. How to group multiple version of the same record 4.
