Chepo: Dad, canIgo trick-or-treating on 1 ,1 11oween? All my friends arc going trick-or-treating. Manuel: What's trick-or-treating? Chepo: Its something children do after darkon Halloween. They put on cos- tumes, so they look like ghosts, witches, or other strange things. Manuel: What do they do'? Chepo: They go to people's houses and knockon the door. When someone opens the door, they say. "Trick-or-treat." The people whoopen the door usu- ally give them a treat, such as candyor cookies. Jack-o'-lanterns are lights made from pumpkins. People put them in a window, or outside their houses. Here is how you make a jack-o'-lantern: To make a jack-o'-lantern you will need a pumpkin, a sharp knife,a spoon, and a candle. 1.Buy zt pumpkin. ) Cut around the top of' the pumpkin with a sharp knift. 3. Take off the top. Scoop out the inside of' the pumpkin witha spoon. 4. Draw a face on the pumpkin.Mostpeople use triangles. Cut out the triangles with a knife. 5. Put the candle inside, the pumpkin. Heat your oven to 375 degrees 2.Beat all the ingredients together 3.Pour into the pie crust 4.Bake 50 to 55 minutes ROLE PLAY Its Thanksgiving. Have a party. Eat some pumpkin pie, and singsome songs.
