NOTICE OF RACE MISSION BAY YACHT CLUB ONE DESIGN REGATTA August 19 and 20, 2006 SPECIAL ATTRACTIONS · Live Band for your entertainment · Italian Dinner · Olympic Champion Mark Reynolds, Honored Guest Speaker · Bay and Ocean Venues · Customized T shirts RULES: This regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in the Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS) and the sailing instructions to be provided at check-in. CLASSES: All active members of one-design classes with a recognized class at Mission Bay Yacht Club are invited. Other Classes are invited as space is available; such other classes are requested to contact one of the Regatta Co-chairs for confirmation of the Club’s ability to serve your class. LOCATION: All races will be sailed either in Sail Bay adjacent to Mission Bay Yacht Club or in the ocean approximately ¾ of a mile northwest of the Mission Bay Jetty. Check in, Competitors Meeting, Dinner and Trophy Presentation will be at Mission Bay Yacht Club. Mission Bay Yacht Club is located at 1215 El Carmel Place, San Diego, California. TROPHIES: An effort will be made to award trophies at a ratio of one trophy for every four boats registered by August 4, 2006. Trophies will be awarded at Mission Bay Yacht Club upon completion of racing August 20, 2006. ENTRY: If your class is on the list of Classes active at Mission Bay Yacht Club, complete the Entry Form, pay the entry fee, place your order for extras and mail or deliver to Mission Bay Yacht Club. If your class is not on the list of Classes active at Mission Bay Yacht Club, please first contact one of the Regatta Co- chairs noted below to assure that your class will have a flight participating; then get your Entry to Mission Bay Yacht Club as soon as possible. Your Class will share in more trophies if the class entries are in by August 4, 2004. Entries will be accepted until 10:30 a.m., August 19, 2006. SCHEDULE: Five races are scheduled; all races will be scored with no throw out; this changes RRS A2. One race will be regarded as a regatta for registration fee and awards purposes. Competitors’ Meeting for classes sailing in the ocean will be at 10:20; and for classes sailing in the Sail Bay, immediately following. Warning for the first race of each day will be at 12:00 noon. PARKING: Parking is tight at MBYC. At most times there is parking available immediately outside the Club. Please CAR-POOL!!
