Unit 6 I Love to Share Lesson 1: A Little Boy Shares Lesson 2: Elisha Shares Lesson 3: A Poor Woman Shares Lesson 4: Abraham and Sarah Share 1 Lesson 1 A Little Boy Shares God has given us everything we have. We can be happy about sharing what we have with others because God will give us everything we need. Everyone say, “I love to share!” Lots of people in the Bible shared. Once Jesus was talking to a big crowd of people. They were up on a mountain listening to Jesus talk. It was lunch time, but there wasn’t food for all the people to eat. Everyone rub your tummies and say, “I’m getting hungry!” story continues on the next page 2 3 Lesson 1 A Little Boy Shares Jesus asked if anyone had any food they could share. One little boy had brought his lunch with him. He was happy to share with Jesus, but he only had five (hold up five fingers) loaves of bread and two (hold up two fingers) small fish. That wasn’t enough to feed that big crowd. story continues on the next page 4 5 Lesson 1 A Little Boy Shares The boy gave his fish and bread to Jesus. Jesus told everyone to sit down for lunch. Jesus prayed and thanked God for giving them enough food to eat. He asked his friends to start passing out the fish and bread to everyone. Did they run out? No! Everyone had as much food as they wanted! There were even leftovers! All of the people had something to eat because one little boy chose to share what he had with Jesus. God wants us to share with others. We can share our toys, our food, and our clothes with other people who need them. Everyone say, “I love to share!” stop the story 6 7 Lesson 2 Elisha Shares God has given us everything we have. We can be happy about sharing what we have with others because God will give us everything we need. Everyone say, “I love to share!” Lots of people in the Bible shared. Elisha had 100 guests to feed. He didn’t have enough to feed them all. As a matter of fact, no one in Elisha’s land had enough to eat. But then a man came by and shared with Elisha and gave him some bread. Elisha shared it with his friends. story continues on the next page 8 9 Lesson 2 Elisha Shares Elisha prayed and believed God would take care of them. Elisha told them that God would provide enough. Elisha set the food out for everyone to eat. They ate and still had some food left over. Because Elisha had shared what he had with others, God made enough for everyone to eat! God wants us to share with others. We can share our toys, our food, and our clothes with our friends. Everyone say, “I love to share!” stop the story 10 11 Lesson 3 A Poor Woman Shares God has given us everything we have. We can be happy about sharing what we have with others because God will give us everything we need. Everyone say, “I love to share!” Lots of people in the Bible shared. During a time when it hadn’t rained for a long time, a poor woman and her son had run out of food. They only had enough for one more day. A man named Elijah was out of food too. God told him to came to her house and asked her for food. She only had the ingredients to make two pieces of bread. story continues on the next page 12 13 Lesson 3 A Poor Woman Shares But Elijah asked her to share with him first! He told her that if she shared, God would give her enough to eat until it rained again. She would never run out! What do you think she did? The Bible says the poor woman trusted God. She gave her last piece of bread to Elijah. Every day after that, God kept her kitchen from ever being empty again! She had enough to feed herself and her son for many years. What can you share with others? You can share your toys, your food, your clothes—because God will give you everything you need! Everyone say, “I love to share!” stop the story 14 15 Lesson 4 Abraham and Sarah Share God has given us everything we have. We can be happy about sharing what we have with others because God will give us everything we need. God even wants us to share with people we don’t know. We should give our guests our best! Everyone say, “I love to share!” Lots of people in the Bible shared. One day, a man named Abraham and his wife Sarah had lots to share. God had given them a whole lot. One day, three men came to visit Abraham and Sarah. He had never met them before, but Abraham invited the men to be his guests. story continues on the next page 16 17 Lesson 4 Abraham and Sarah Share Abraham asked his wife Sarah to bake some cakes for them. Abraham shared some meat and milk with the visitors too. Abraham and Sarah shared their best food with their guests. Later, Abraham found out these guests were sent to him from God! How cool is that? God wants us to welcome others. We can share what we have with our guests. We can give our guests our best. We can let them play with our favorite toys, share our favorite food, and sit in our favorite chair. God wants us to be happy about sharing with our guests. Everyone say, “Give guests our best!” stop the story 18 19 .
