The Trust also works with local and national groups interested in addressing high debt in New Zealand. Our key partners are Lending Matters (Dunedin) and Ngā Tangata Microfinance Trust (Manukau), and we also participate in the national organization FinCap. In collaboration with our partners, we endeavour to provide feedback to government on policy development in the areas of microfinance, debt, third tier lending, poverty and related issues. We were excited to be using the national website resource ‘Faith Journey’ for the first time, with material compiled by Jo Bell of Dunedin. During a fun-filled day we learnt about how everything changed when Jesus rose from the dead; reflected on things we do to celebrate Easter; considered the meaning of the Paschal Candle and generally had a lot of fun with craft, singing, drama and games. It is great to see parents becoming more involved with the day’s activities as this can only enrich their children’s experience. Thank you to those families for making this day a priority in their busy lives.
