Albert Martty Albert “Pete” Marty, 81, of Bridgeport, died Monday, Oct. 31, 2005 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry. He was born July 24, 1924 in Bridgeport, Ohio, the son of the late Jacob Marty Sr., and Emma Pfister Marty. He was the co-owner of Bantco Cable Company in Bridgeport and a member of the former West Bridgeport United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, Pete was preceded in death by his wife Jane Aukerman Marty in 2002 and a brother, Jacob Marty Jr. Surviving are two sons, George Marty of Shadyside and William Marty of Winston Salem, N.C.; two daughters, Leslie Carroll of Cambridge and Beth Ann Marty of Bridgeport; a broth­ er, Allan “Bud” Marty of Brookside; a sister, Ida Hollingsworth of Port ‘Washington, Ohio and six grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday from 3 p.m., until the time of Pete’s funeral service at 7 p.m., at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Brookside, Ohio. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family. TOGETHER AGAIN MARTY, Allan E., 96, of Brookside, died Tuesday April 3, 2012 at East Ohio Regional Hospital Martins Ferry. He was bom January 14, 1916 in Bridgeport, a son of the late Jacob and Emma Pfister Marty. f~ He was the former Owner Operator and Founder of J.E. Marty and Son’s Appliance Co. and Bantco Cable Co., a mem­ ber of 1 st United Methodist Church Kirkwood, he was a former past president and member of the Bridgeport School Board, the Belmont County Vocational Board, Former Mayor of Brookside and a Councilman, Bridgeport Blue Lodge 181, Osiris Shrine Temple Wheeling, Jester’s Wheeling Court 13, the only charter mem­ ber left of the Bridgeport Rotary Club, the Bridgeport Eagles 995, the Lansing Sportsman Club, and a Army Captain in WWII. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Helen M. Reynolds Marty; two brothers, Jacob Marty Jr. and Albert Marty; and a sister, Ida M. Hollingsworth. Allan is survived by two sons, Allan E. Marty Jr. and his wife, Audrey, of Pataskala, Ohio, and Dr. Charles J. Marty and his wife, Kathy, of Granville, Ohio; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchil­ dren. Members of the family will receive friends Friday, April 6, 2012 from 2-9 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Brookside. And on Saturday at 1 st United Methodist Church, 300 De Kalb St., Bridgeport from noon to time of service at 2 p.m., with Rev. Julianne Gebbie and Rev. She was bom August 16, 1913 in Moundsville, the daughter of the late William “Nick” and Dorothy (Davis) Cull urn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Marty; a brother, James Cull urn; a sister, Dorothy Althar; a niece, Margaret Marty and a sister-in-law, Doris Cullum. She is survived by a brother, William D. Cullum and a niece, Kathy Jo Cullum both of Moundsville; as well as a dear neighbor and friend Joan Morgan of Bridgeport, Ohio.
