WEEK FOUR Activity A: Journal Page Activity Whenever you journal—use ink and put the date on the page. If you are not sure what to write about, write a list as the first part of your entry. You can write the top 10 events in your life so far. Pick one and write a few sentences about it. Activity B: Brenda-Style This interview segment is about 20 minutes. We’ve included two envelope activities from Brenda for you to practice. Activity C: Handwriting Checkup Now that you’ve been at this for a month, let’s find out how your handwriting has changed. Print extra copies of this and check up again to keep track of your progress as you continue to improve. Activity D: Keep Practicing Set up your writer’s desk or drawer with pens, cards for notes, and stamps. We are giving you a general card you can print and use when you want to encourage someone. You will want to print in color or gray-scale on card stock then cut the two cards apart. You can find envelops that fit this size card at an office store or stationery store. Enjoy writing someone a note this week. Practice your note in your handwriting notebook and then copy your message on the lines in your best handwriting. Make it a habit to send out one note each week.
