INTRODUCTION / WELCOME 1.1 Message from Chairman of Event Committee Motorsport is one of the most favourite sports and make the competitors follow the regulations with good manners. I am very pleased and congratulate to King’s Cup Trophy The 27th International Rally of Thailand 2014, which is the greatest and very complete competition. I would like see more internationally recognized events staged in Thailand. On this occasion, I would like to express my appreciation and best wishes to the organizers and all concerned with the rally. Mr.Virath Chotitawan Chairman of Event Committer 5 King’s Cup Trophy The 27th International Rally of Thailand 2014 Rally Guide 2 (24/11/2014) 1.2 Message From Rally Director & Clerk of Course SAWASDEE The Organising Committee would like to take this opportunity to extend a warm welcome to all participants, media, competitors and fans alike who would come to join King’s Cup Trophy The 27th International Rally of Thailand 2014. From 5 – 7 December 2014, Thailand will host King’s Cup Trophy The 27th International Rally of Thailand which is organised by Auto Racing Team. This event is to be the Kingdom’s largest motor sport event. King’s Cup Trophy The 27th International Rally of Thailand is to be held on the Central Thailand, which includes the two provinces of Lopburi – Phetchabun - Lopburi. The Ceremonial Start and Official Start will be held on Friday, 5 December 2014, 15:30 hrs.at Saha Farms Station, Lopburi. The route of Leg 1a will take place in Saha Farms Station, has one special stages on tarmac and gravel road (total distance of 2.25 kms). Leg 1b will take place around Lopburi has seven special stages on tarmac and gravel road in four locations (total distance of 99.30 kms). Leg 2 will take place around Phetchabun , consisting 5 special 102.99 kms. on tarmac and gravel road in four locations. Motor Sports Competition or Rally is now claimed as one of automotive competitions which is very popular in the world as there are many people and agencies concerned in the competition including drivers, organisers, automobile manufacturers in order to develop car racing competition. In the Kingdom of Thailand, the sport of motor racing is known since World War II when HRH Prince Biraphong Bhanubhandra incredibly captured titles three successive times. Since then rallying activity in Thailand becomes more and more famous when there is the 1st Asian Highway Rally Championships in Thailand. The Championships saw drivers from Japan, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand in action in the competition. With an aspiration to uplift rally standard and to promote tourism in the Kingdom of Thailand, the Auto Racing Magazine Team decides to organise the 1st International Rally competition entitled International Rally of Thailand in 1989.
