Although the Parliamentary Record constitutes a record of the life of the 54th Parliament, the historical tables and records are also available on the Queensland Parliament's website at www.parliament.qld.gov.au, as is current information about the Members and the Parliament. The Former Members Register providing details of former members’ parliamentary appointments and brief information about their lives and careers can also be accessed from the Queensland Parliament’s website. The Record of Proceedings, commonly referred to as Hansard, is the official record of the debates and procedures of the Queensland Parliament. The 150th anniversary of the formal establishment of Queensland’s official record of proceedings occurred in 2014. The complete Hansard from 1864, as well as newspaper reports of parliamentary proceedings in the Moreton Bay Courier (1860 – 1863), are now available for searching on the Parliament’s website. Updating of the material for the Record of the 54th Parliament has been a combined effort of staff of the Parliamentary Library and Parliamentary Communication and Education Secretariat. Particular thanks are owed to Kalimna Kane of the Parliamentary Communication and Education Secretariat, and Melissa Cook and Roslin Bailey as well as the Research and Information Service staff of the Parliamentary Library. The Department of Natural Resources and Mines provided the original electorate maps used as the basis for the maps in the Parliamentary Record. Finally, the Library would appreciate notification of any discrepancies or errors found by readers. Please contact the Parliamentary Librarian on (07) 355 36200.
