It is a useful hand - book for everyone interested in enjoying fishing in the Land of Lincoln. This booklet presents an up-to-date summary of statewide fishing regulations in Illinois. The booklet also includes details on site-specific regulations organized by the body of water or water area at which those regulations apply. While the Illinois Fishing Information guide is updated annually, some site-specific regulations may be changed in emergency situations through administrative rule – and in those cases, the emergency changes to site-specific regulations will be posted at the site, as well as on the website at www.ifishilli nois.org. Illinois anglers have long been guardians of our state’s aquatic resources. To ensure that we continue to enjoy good fishing opportunities for years to come, anglers are encouraged to team with law enforcement officers and fisheries biologists to protect and conserve the waters and aquatic resources of our great state.
