Jeff was born February 14, 1944 in New Martinsville, the son of the late Walter J. and Mary Benner Henthorn. A lifetime Cleveland Indians fan and loved attending Mag­ nolia High School sporting events. His happiest times were spent working on his ' farm on Huff Ridge. Member of Faith Temple Church, Tyler County; and a Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War. Survived by his wife of 43 years, Sharon Horner Hen- thorn; and his “chosen” daugh­ ter, Kimberly Horner; many cousins, nieces and nephews and special friends. She was born December 17, 1921 in Akron, Ohio, daughter of Randall and Mable Sampson Bilker. She was a secretary and telephone operator. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edward Henthorne; and two daughters, Tana Evans and Virginia (Dee) Wilson. Surviving are her longtime companion, Roy Lucas of Moundsville; three grandchil­ dren, Michelle Schrider of Mt. Airy. Md., David Winingham of Clarksburg, Md. and Jef­ frey Morris of Mentone. Henthorne, 82, retired printer at the Martins Ferry-Bellaire Times-Leader, died Monday at Ohio Valley General Hospital, Wheeling. Born in Wheeling, June 1, 1892, a son of the late William and Maude E. Stroebel Hen- thorn, he resided at 441 N. Huron St., Wheeling Island. He was a member of the Martins Ferry Christian Church, Typographical Local 383, and had started his newspaper career at the Wheeling Intelligencer in 1915, coming to work for the Times- Leader in 1926 and retiring in 1962. * preceded in death by his wife, Pearl Burkett Henthorne, in 1970, he is survived by four sons, Robert of Cadiz, David of X Wheeling, James of St. Clair- sville and Thomas of Bridgeport; six grandchildren. Born December 3,1926 in Weirton, WV, Ethel was a daughter of the late Louis and Helen Tingler Truax. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Carr and her second husband, Robert Henwood; son, James Anthony Carr; brothers, Darrell and Louie Truax; sisters, Marin Lusakow, Naomi Lynch, and Beatrice Jonoski; two granddaughters and a great grandson.
