Respondent : The Public Information Officer ( RTI Act,2005) / The Mandal Revenue Officer,Chevella Mandal, Ranga REddy District. ORDER Sri K.NARSIMHA REDDY filed a complaint dated 18-02-2019 which was received by this Commission on 18-02-2019 for not getting the information sought by him from the Public Information Officer/ O/o the Mandal Revenue Officer, Chevella Mandal, Ranga Reddy District. The brief facts of the case as per the Complaint and other records received along with it are that the complainant herein filed an application dated 05-10-2018 before the Public Information Officer requesting to furnish the information under Sec.6(1) of the RTI Act, 2005 on the following points mentioned:- Stating that he did not get the sought information from the Public Information Officer, the TSIC complainant preferred this complaint before the Commission requesting to arrange to furnish the information sought by him U/s. 18(1) of the RTI Act, 2005. Basing on the material papers available on record, the complaint is taken on file. In view of the spread of Covid-19 Pandemic, the case is heard over phone on 26-04-2021 with prior intimation to the concerned parties. The complainant Sri K. Narsimha Reddy responded to the phone call and Sri Vinod/ DT, O/o the Tah., Chevella Mandal, R.R. Dist. has also responded to the phone call. Heard both parties. During the telephonic hearing the complainant has submitted that the Public Information Officer has not furnished information. PTO Note: This is system generated copy and no signature is required 2 The present Public Information Officer submitted that he taken charge as PIO recently and also submitted that they have not furnished information to the complainant and requested one week time to furnish information to the complainant. The Commission has taken serious view in the matter and directs the Public Information Officer to furnish the information to the complainant within (2) days from the date of receipt of this order through Registered Post with Acknowledgement Due under intimation to this Commission. Explanation is also called for from the Public Information Officer for not furnishing information to the complainant within the stipulated time the explanation should reach the Commission by registered post, within a week time, failing which action will be initiated under section 20 of RTI Act.
