Product positioning All company functions are based on a set of processes. These processes are mostly not documented or visible, and depend on people. For a process improvement project to be successful, it is imperative that everyone involved in the process is aligned on the fundamentals, from the current process to the new and improved process before the new process can be achieved. When a process improvement project is successful, the business value delivered can be significant. It results in: • Less effort • Lower costs • Lower risks • Increased productivity • Higher agility • A more competitive position in their industry Companies use a variety of resources to document their business processes. Some resort to the traditional methods of hand-drawing on a whiteboard or using sticky notes to depict the business flow. These process diagrams have a short life and are difficult to share. Some use diagramming tools available in common office software suites. The process models created have version control issues, and it becomes cumbersome to find the most up-to-date version of truth. Blueworks Live enables business users and business analysts to document their processes and provides users with visibility and the tools to communicate about processes. Blueworks Live distinguishes itself from other cloud-based process modeling tools by engaging users in a process-focused, collaborative environment. Blueworks Live provides an easy-to-use environment for the rapid discovery, definition, and documentation of business processes. Its graphical design and visualization tools are specifically designed to make it easy for process owners and business users to engage directly in the analysis and improvement of their business processes. The solution enriches this effort by allowing users to add information, such as company policies and guidelines directly into the process model. As a cloud-based offering, Blueworks Live allows new contributors to the team to be added on demand and as needed, with no extensive training. Team members can collaborate easily on a process model. Multiple editors can make changes on the model, and a modern, social-media-type feed keeps all stakeholders up to date on all modifications and comments. Blueworks Live provides the single, shared repository where participants can find the 'single version of truth' about any process. In this way, Blueworks Live facilitates successful process improvement projects by enabling users on the project improvement team to get aligned on process goals, problems, and areas for improvement. As processes and improvement opportunities change over time, the details can be documented in Blueworks Live so that there is a single spot where users can go to access the latest up-to-date information. Blueworks Live provides a variety of output formats and directly integrates with IBM BPM for implementation, execution, and optimization of business processes.
