Palmerston North seems to get a bit of a bad press around the country but we are lucky really. I was talking to my Chiropractor a month or two ago and he reckoned that the Manawatu region is New Zealand’s best kept secret and I agree with him. It seems that well over half of the Probus Clubs in New Zealand have switched to the new, New Zealand based organisation but at present the Committee feels that we should stick with the status quo as have many other clubs. We will however make sure that we keep abreast of the situation. Keep Wed 29th July free for another Mystery bus tour. We will let you know more at the June meeting regarding cost etc. We cannot tell you where it will be to as it is a mystery…so be surprised. The bus trip to Wellington that I mentioned last month will be on Wed 14th October and planning is well in hand for that. To get to Government house and the Peter Jackson exhibition in one day will mean an early start but I’m sure that we will all manage that OK, like about a quarter to 8am. Although Lynne and I didn’t go, I gather that the Centrepoint show on 15th May was well attended and really enjoyed by all that went. I trust that everyone enjoyed our Guest Speaker at the last meeting. It’s quite amazing really what organisations are around that very few people know about. Once again, thanks to your committee for their time and enthusiasm, without them we would not have a Probus Club… So keep warm and rug up, Alan Upcoming Events June 2015 Wed 3rd June Coffee Morning Wed 10th June Craft Group No Date Breakfast Group Every Thurs Walking Group Wed 17th June Members Meeting No Date Wanderers Group Wed 24th June Craft Group July 2015 Wed 15th July Main Meeting Wed 29th July Mystery Trip Wednesday 17th JUNE MEETING Our Profile Speaker will be Lindsay Trembath.
