Patil President Dr. Sanjay D. Patil is an educationist, agriculturalist and a civil engineer. He is the architect of Dr. D Y Patil Educational Institutions of Kolhapur academic complex. He holds position of Chancellor of Dr. D Y Patil University and Chairman of Kasaba Bavada Shikshan Mandal, Kolhapur. He has to his credit various awards. The Govt. of Maharashtra has awarded him with “Vanashree Puraskar” in 1991. He is recipient of “Indira Priyadarshini Vrukshamitra Award” in 1993. He has also been awarded “Kolhapur Bhushan” in 2001 for his achievements in educational field, “Rashtriya Shikshan Sanman Puraskar”, “Krishinishtha Puraskar” awarded by Govt. of Maharashtra in 2004 and he has won First Prize in “All India Mango Show” held at Bangalore in 1996. Shri Satej D Patil (MLC) (Ex. State Home Minister Maharashtra) Shri. Satej D. Patil is a renowned educationist, social worker and an agriculturist. He is the Member of Legislative Council from Kolhapur Local Authorities Constituency from January 2016. He was member of Maharashtra Legislative Assembly from Karveer constituency, Kolhapur from 2004 to 2014. He has been Minister of State for Home, Rural Development, Food & Drugs Administration; Govt. of Maharashtra, from 2010 to 2014. A young man with tremendous energy, he has translated the vision of Padmashree Dr. D Y Patil into reality by establishing various quality institutions within a short span. He is also President of Shri Mouni Vidyapeeth Gargoti, Kolhapur and Chairman of Dr. D Y Patil Shahkari Sakhar Karkhana Ltd. Gaganbavda Kolhapur. He is the director of Kolhapur District Central Cooperative Bank and Kolhapur Chamber of Commerce and Industries. He is also a member of World Wide Fund for Nature India, Indian Red Cross Society (Kolhapur), Shree Saibaba Sansthan (Shirdi), Shree Parampujya Sant Gajanan Maharaj Sansthan (Shegaon) and member Shivaji University Senate. He takes personal interests in all the facets of efficient functioning and growth of the institutes. Col. S K Joshi was commissioned into The Scinde Horse (14 HORSE) an elite Regiment (Armored Corps) of Indian Army in 1974 and retired in March 2006.
