Ed Diener is the Joseph R. Smiley Distinguished Professor of Psychology, Emeritus, at the University of Illinois. Dr. Diener was the president of both the International Society of Quality of Life Studies and the Society of Personality and Social Psychology. He was the first president of the International Positive Psychology Association. He has over 325 publications, with over 200 being in the area of the psychology of well-being. Professor Diener is listed as one of the most highly cited psychologists by the Institute of Scientific Information. Diener has received the distinguished scientist award from the American Psychological Association, as well as the William James award for lifetime scientific contributions from the Association of Psychological Science. Diener has developed several scales that are in widespread use, notably the Satisfaction with Life Scale. He co-authored Happiness: Unlocking the Mysteries of Psychological Wealth with his son, Robert Biswas-Diener. Lindsay Doran is an accomplished producer who has worked in the Hollywood film industry for over 30 years. She has been involved in such films as This Is Spinal Tap, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Pretty in Pink, and Sense and Sensibility, which won the Golden Globe Award for Best Motion Picture (Drama) and the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay. She also founded production company Three Strange Angels, through which she has produced Nanny McPhee and Stranger Than Fiction. She has previously given presentations about how Dr. Seligman’s PERMA model and other positive psychological constructs are reflected in Hollywood films. Chris Stewart is a graduate of Wheaton College (B.A., philosophy) and Western Kentucky University (M.A., humanities). He completed a Ph.D. in philosophy at the University of Notre Dame in 1992, with an emphasis on the history and philosophy of science. After twenty years on the faculty of Houghton College, the last few of which he also served as Associate Dean of Biblical Studies, Theology, and Philosophy, he joined the Templeton Religion Trust in May 2013. From the Trust¹s office in Nassau, Bahamas, Chris is assisting with the establishment of TRT¹s grantmaking platform, and leading the development of its grant portfolio. .
