Families were notified of the scholarship opportunity in March 2017. They submitted applications along with proof of honorable discharge. Ten students were awarded schol- arships of $1,000-$2,000 each. The anonymous donor sent the following to families informing them of their awards: “I want to thank you for your military ser- vice to our country on behalf of my family.
