INTRODUCTION This directory lists current Detroit Diesel Corporation (DDC) author- ized distributors and on-highway service dealers in the United States and Canada. The listings shown in bold type represent Distributor headquarters and Branch locations. Distributors specialize in servicing Detroit Diesel engines in a variety of on-highway applications. They have the necessary facilities, experienced personnel and parts inventory to handle the full range of engine service from maintenance to overhaul. This is designated by "Full Service" preceding the listing of product codes. The outlets shown in standard type are authorized service dealers and have been classified to perform as either maintenance or overhaul dealers. Maintenance Dealer Classifications Sales and sales promotion of products and parts as well as minor service performed on easily accessible components and parts on products. This level of service includes the following types of activi- ties: Inspections, tune-ups, adjustments, troubleshooting (warranty reimbursement limited to two(2) hours), replacement of seals (front and rear crankshaft seals and accessory drive seal only), gaskets (rocker cover, oil pan and oil cooler gaskets only), injectors, rocker arms, jake brakes, fuel pump, water pump, turbocharger, air com- pressor, electrical system components, complete engine assem- blies and other work not requiring major product disassembly. Repairs involving camshaft, front cover, cylinder head, flywheel housing or rod and main bearing removal are not permitted.. Overhaul Dealer Classifications Maintenance Dealer Operations as well as major repair or overhaul work performed on all components and parts of products.
