(Pat) Meany passed away on October 2, at the age of 80. Patrick Meany was a former chair and trustee in Dufferin-Peel for 24 years. Mr. Meany was a passionate advocate for Catholic education. He described Catholic education as “a tradition of imparting not just knowledge, but wisdom, not just skills, but understanding, not just how to make a living, but how to live.” Mr. Meany is survived by his wife Kathleen, their seven children, and their respective families.
