Department of Business Administration and Research (DBA & R), Shri Sant Gajanan Maharaj College of Engineering (SSGMCE), Shegaon amongst top B-Schools of Maharashtra for the seventh year in a row: The Department of Business Administration and Research (DBA & R) of Shri Sant Gajanan Maharaj College of Engineering (SSGMCE), Shegaon again appears this year in the B-School Ranking 2016-2017 by Careers360 magazine in its November 2016 special issue on India’s Top B-Schools 2017. This is seventh year in a row that DBA & R has been included in the list of top B-Schools of Maharashtra by this magazine ranking it under the AA+ grade. The ranking is based on seven parameters viz. placement, students quality, faculty quality, research and publications, alumni, learning environment and living experiences. The magazine has published the entire report of Best B-Schools of India where management institutions of Maharashtra appear on its pages nos. 89 & 90 and the name of Shri Sant Gajanan Maharaj College of Engineering, Shegaon appears on page no. 90 of this magazine. From amongst 380 plus management institutions in Maharashtra this magazine has ranked only 59 institutions from places like Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune, Nashik, Solapur, Karla and Shegaon which means that the Shegaon MBA is the only amongst them from a Taluka place. It is further worth noting that the DBA & R, Shegaon is the only university affiliated self-financed management institution from whole of Vidarbha appearing in this ranking. There are however, three institutions from Vidarbha ranked in this list which are Indian Institute of Management, Nagpur, Institute of Management Technology, Nagpur (both autonomous institutions) and Shri Sant Gajanan Maharaj College of Engineering, Shegaon. This is in addition to regular ranking of this department by other national surveys like Business India, Go- Education and Outlook Survey since the year 2010. The outlook-Drshti Survey 2014 & 2015 ranked this department amongst India’s top 100 B-Schools.
