The CGS follows cancellation, delayed opening and early dismissal decisions made for the Norwalk Public Schools. If conditions are threatening, please consult any of the following resources to determine if, or on what schedule, the CGS is operating. For Out of District Students: If your school district is closed for bad weather conditions, but BMHS is open, you have the option of keeping your child home that day. It will be considered an exempt absence when you send in a note explaining the circumstances. For our van/bus students from Redding, Stamford, Wilton, Bridgeport and Trumbull: Usually, as long as BMHS is open, our vans will operate. Please call the van company to be sure of operation, especially if your own district is closed (ECS-203-852-1605 x1). For our students traveling by train: Generally speaking, if there is a 2 hour delay, students need to take a train that will arrive in South Norwalk by 9 a.m. Please refer to a Metro North website or app. If you have any questions, please call Ms. Cawley at 203-852-9488, option 2. Sincerely, Julie Parham OUR MISSION The Center for Global Studies will enable students to bridge international and cultural distances through study, travel, and state-of-the-art technology and will prepare them for life in a pluralistic world. Students will understand and accept differences they will encounter in our increasingly global society. .
