Travel Itinerary for the Team of Developers Visiting Zanskar-Kargil Day 1st: 12th June: - Departure to Kargil from Leh (09:00 AM). - Lunch at Khalsi (12:00 PM). - Arrival at Kargil (03:00 PM). - Check in to Hotel and take rest. Day 2nd: 13th June: - Start journey to Zanskar from Kargil (09:00 AM). - On the way, visit to Rangdum, nearly about 110 KMs from Kargil (01:00 PM). - Lunch at Rangdum (02:00 PM). - Departure to Padum (03:00 PM). - Arrival at Padum (06:30 PM) and night stay Day 3rd: 14th June: - Departure to Zangla, Tsazar, Ufti Thang and other parcels of land in the Zanskar Block (9:00 AM). - Back at Hotel (08:00 PM) and night stay Day 4th & 5th: 15th & 16th June: - Departure towards Lungnaq Block of Zanskar – will require at least 2 days and commute by walking (9:00 AM). - Arrival at Purne village (11:00 AM). - Walking journey to Kargiyaq (12:00 PM). - Arrival back at Padum by next day evening (16th of June) - Site visit to feasible locations in Kargyaq (around 11:00 AM to 01 PM). NOTE: The area remains cut off till August. So the team shall have to travel on foot which would take more than a day to reach. Thus, keeping in consideration the road/pass situations we have kept two days’ visit and will depend on the group’s consensus. We will discuss in detail during the meeting in Leh on 11th June 2019. Day 6th: 17th June: - Departure towards Kargil (9:00 AM). - Arrival at Kargil (6:00 PM). Day 8th: 18th June: - Departure to Leh (8:30 AM) N.B. Conveyance and boarding/ lodging at all places are to be self-organised by the participants. However, all possible assistance / information will be provided for a smooth and successful visit. The vehicles from Leh are not allowed into Zanskar. Therefore, it is suggested to book vehicles accordingly, either from Leh with permits or from Leh to Kargil and then from Kargil to sites with permitted vehicles. .
