LOS ANGELES – The 10th-ranked USC women’s volleyball team opens the 2018 # SDSU/USD Challenge • Jenny Craig Pavilion (San Diego, Calif.) season and the Brent Crouch era this weekend as host of the Trojan Invitational at Galen Center. The Women of Troy welcome No. 5 Kentucky, No. 13 Creighton, and Northern Iowa for a round-robin tournament set for Friday and Saturday (Aug. 24-25). This group of four teams has met in a non-conference tourney in each of the previous four years and will play the first of a four-year cycle following the renewal of the teams’ commitment to face each other in the preseason. @USCWomensVolley USC is 35-7 in all-time season openers and is 8-3 in home openers at the Galen Center. Crouch is the program’s sixth head coach and inherits a squad that advanced to 2017 NCAA regional final.
