Welcome to Cruisin' the Coast 2016! We are so glad you are here. The weather should be beautiful and I know you are itchin' to ride.... gas prices are down, so get on that motorcycle and ride around town! I want to thank Myrtle Beach Harley-Davidson for the cover. Thanks to ThrottleFest for the Centerfold, and Tom McGrath's Motorcycle Law Group for the back cover. I hope you don't need them, but if you do, they are the best. Without you guys we don't exist. Let's get started! Coastal Victory and Indian Motorcycles – stop by and say hi and take a test ride. Maybe you'll take one home! Tattoos. Stay out of tents trailers and kitchens. I suggest Pit Bull Tattoo. Best artists and custom work. Clean, sterile environment. Myrtle Beach Harley-Davidson has lots of events going on. Check out the Guide for the complete list of all of their events and bike shows, from the Veterans motorcycle ride to the kick off party. The Beaver Bar – home of the $2 beers. They are having a huge bike show with over $15,000 of prizes. Check it out. Plus they have live entertainment. Spoke & Bones are having a free concert featuring the Outlaws. Yes, the Out- laws – free. Also the Flaunt Girls every night at the FMF After Party. Lots of great entertainment with themed bars. They have the Battle of the Baggers Bike Show. Check the Guide for info. Suck Bang Blow - 20th anniversary. Thaaat's right! The Horse Bike Show and Kandy Kulture's Bike Show. Burnout contests and some great entertainment. ThrottleFest! Check out the complete line-up in the Schedule, including Jackyl, Sebastian Bach, and Appetite for Destruction to name a few. Garden City Finish Line Bar & Grill is now under new management. Check out the Guide for a complete listing of all the goings on. They have daily food spe- cials that sound great. Halifax Urban Ministries has a bike give-a-way. Donations for tickets for a chance to win the motorcycle or cash – tickets available at Barefoot Landing and Myrtle Beach Harley-Davidson. Stop by and say hi to Kimmy Cruz. She will be at Suck Bang Blow. She is a hoot and you can grab a Pocket Guide from her. Bad Ass Bullets – gotta check this out. Great bullet casings screw cover sys- tem for your bike. Check them out at the Beaver Bar. The Hornet is an electronic sound that keeps deer away from you. Install one on your bike or your vehicle to avoid costly accidents. See ad for the Bike Week special. Barefoot Landing Rally on the Strand. The most vendors in the Rally. Come check them out. They have great restaurants and stores. Also, for you all that are going to Sturgis this year. A few things to tell you about. Full Throttle Saloon is opening up after the fire and is rebuilding. They also purchased the Broken Spoke Campground which is now Full Throttle Sa- loon Presents the Pappy Hoel Campground and Resort. For those who want to be vendors there, please contact Gary and Paul – the numbers are in the Guide – to get a spot in the new venue. No Name City Luxury Cabins and RV – great place to stay while in Sturgis. Make reservations now for Sturgis. RJ and Tanya are great people and will take great care of you. See the Guide for some of the close by places to visit. All are within a 90 minute ride. Some great day trips. Thanks to my staff for all the help on the Guide. Thanks to Linda for just about everything, Thunder for the maps, Mike for putting me together, and Jane for getting me out in print. Thanks to Steven Spoons for the great photography work he has done for us. This is very important, please tell every advertiser that you saw them in the Pocket Guide®. We are available online and available prior to the Rally so you can see what is happening before you leave your home to come here. Check us out on FaceBook, too. You can actually plan on what you want to do during your stay in Myrtle Beach. Isn’t that cool! And if you to be in an edition of the Bikers Pocket Guide, visit us on our website, BikersPocketGuide.com to look at the archived Guides, and information on how to advertise with us. In closing - my usual speech. Don’t be draggin’ and revving your pipes, ‘cause you’ll get a ticket and free room and board. If you’ve had too much to drink, park your bike and get a taxi home. Think before you drink. Don’t leave your drinks unattended. It’s not the bartender’s job to babysit your drinks. Take care of your bartenders and servers. They work real hard to make your vacation unforgettable. Have a safe and great Bike Week! Remember – rubber side down, shiny side up. ~ Ron Martin PS - Lots of love to you, Ronnie and Robin. Happy Mothers Day to Mom. Happy Birthday to Jason and Robin – lots of love to you. To all the Mothers on Mothers Day, we wish you a great, great Day.
