Wildcats Announce Details of Special Event Nights Fans, Sponsors, Billets, Alumni and Players to Be Recognized

NEWS RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Wildcats Announce Details of Special Event Nights Fans, Sponsors, Billets, Alumni and Players to be Recognized 31/01/2019 BERWICK, NOVA SCOTIA – The Valley Wildcats, proud member of the Maritime Hockey League, have revealed their promotional night schedule for the remainder of the 2018-19 season, which includes three events in February. On Saturday, February 9th the Wildcats will participate in the Town of Berwick Winter Carnival when the Amherst Ramblers come to town. The Wildcats are offering admission to a Lions Hall dinner, tickets to the game and popcorn at a special price ($20 for adults, $10 for children). There will be children’s amusements in the lobby before the game, including beanbag toss, face painting, noise-maker stations and more. Berwick’s Winter Carnival Mascot Brrrrwester, along with Roary the Wildcat will also be on hand for the festivities with activities and prize giveaways planned throughout the game. Fan and Sponsor Appreciation Night will be held on Friday, February 22nd when Valley hosts the South Shore Lumberjacks. Fans can fill out a ballot to win various prizes, including a gift basket from Wheaton’s. All gold, silver, bronze, game and player sponsors are invited to a reception during first intermission. Sponsors will also receive their 2018-19 souvenir Wildcats program. Saturday, February 23rd will be Billet Family Appreciation and Alumni Night as the Pictou County Crushers visit Berwick. Billet families hosting Wildcat players this season will be honored in a pre-game ceremony and all alumni are invited to attend the game and attend a reception during the first intermission. Wildcat players from the first Wildcat junior teams of the 1980s and those of recent vintage are all invited. And finally, with the Yarmouth Mariners in town, the Wildcats hill hold their awards night on Saturday, March 9th. In a pre-game ceremony, Wildcat players will receive a variety of awards including Fan's Choice award, Team MVP, Real Estate 3 Star Selection award and Community Involvement award. The Wildcats travel to Bridgewater Friday night to play the South Shore Lumberjacks at 7 p.m. and host the Pictou County Crushers at 7 on Saturday.
