Roadbike Region SalzburgerLand Salzkammergut Perfect conditions for hobby cyclists and pretentious professionals In just over the five years of its existence, the Racing Bike Region SalzburgerLand Salzkammergut has developed into a real insider tip for racing cyclists. Meanwhile there are now twenty different exacting tours which lead through a beautiful natural landscape between the northern Salzburger Seenland and the Salzkammergut. Fourteen bike friendly hotels offer guests – individual travelers as well as groups – the best conditions for an active holiday of the extra class. The successful UCI Road Bike WM in 2006 marked the beginning of the roadbike boom in the SalzburgerLand and in the neighbouring Salzkammergut. Four years later the Regions Fuschlsee, Mondseeland, Attersee, Salzburger Seenland, Eugendorf and the surrounding Salzburg resorts of Anthering, Elixhausen and Bergheim joined together to form the SalzburgerLand Salzkammergut Bike Region. Meanwhile the co-operation is a showcase project, which in just three years offers a great variety of routes which are valued by professionals and hobby cyclists alike. The 13 hotels fulfill special criteria important for cyclists, and guarantee a full all-round service. This includes maps and tour refreshments as well as lock-up bike rooms or GPS gadgets. Many hotels offer a number of additional services such as bike hire, wellness treatments, attractive week or short-stay packages for groups and individual travelers, as well as racing bike and triathlon camps with professionals. The 20 tours in the Roadbike Region are clearly explained with detailed information in a special racing bike map, which gives one a perfect summary of the numerous route possibilities in the region.
