Director Of Finance Report Presented By: Matthew Lue, Director of Finance Documents: DOF REPORT 4-8-19.PDF CITY OF WARRENSBURG DIRECTOR OF FINANCE April 8, 2019 Honorable Mayor and Members of the City Council City of Warrensburg, Missouri Dear Mayor and Council Members: SUBJECT: An Ordinance Amending Ordinance 5474, Concerning the Adopted FY19 Annual Budget for the General Fund BACKGROUND: In review 6-month FY18 budget, there are a few items that need to be addressed to correctly present month end totals. Below is a brief description of each item. City Manager Computer and monitor for the City Manager conference room Human Resources Computer and monitor for the HR assistant Buildings and Grounds Remove restriction of funds for the downtown electrical upgrade Fire Funding for the Fire Chief Executive search firm Additional funds for the update of Fire record management system Animal Shelter Purchase of a transportation vehicle ISSUE: To approve an ordinance for budget amendments to the General Fund. FISCAL IMPACT: This amendment will have a net increase of $82,644 to FY19 expenditures. RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of the ordinance. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WARRENSBURG, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 10-37 W is hereby adopted to read as follows, leaving in place unaltered all prior provisions of Section 10-37: W. Section 302.2.2 is hereby added to read as follows: 302.2.2 All terms as used in this Section are as defined in 10 C.S.R. 10-6.045, and as the same may be hereafter amended. The only wooden waste to burned in Warrensburg is vegetative waste. No other forms of sawn, processed wood or wood products can be burnt as a method of disposal in the City of Warrensburg. "Vegetative waste" means decomposable materials generated by yard and lawn care or land- clearing activities and includes, but is not limited to, leaves, grass trimmings, and woody wastes such as shrub and tree pruning’s, bark, limbs, roots, and stumps. Open burning of tree trunks, tree limbs, and vegetation from land clearing operations is allowed without an air curtain incinerator if the burning takes place outside the city limits and is greater than two-hundred (200) yards from the nearest occupied structure not owned by the party conducting the burn.
