Forest and Surrounds (1993) 1:50000 AGRICULTURAL LAND AND FORESTRY In recognition of state and local government level efforts, this constraints map was produced to guide the generation of potential corridors away from high quality agricultural land within the study area. Presently, the constraints identified on this map relate to good quality (GQAL category A) agricultural land. In the process of identifying constraints for this map, agriculture was orgainsed into classes of agricultural quality. Agricultural land classed GQAL (A) has been considered a high constraint. Forestry areas under State (Department of Primary Industries) control, such as Scientific Areas and areas of Native forest (which may have conservation importance) are also considered to be high constraints. 18/08/97.
