In Theological controversy it is written of him that he bore a knightly Part. In 188- he reciiived the Doctorate from Hobart College. In 1868, Rector S. Peter's, Oriskany, N. Y. In 187$ he returned to S. George's Utica, N. Y. After ten years he resigned his parochial charge. confining his clerical labors as Chaplain to the State Insane Asylum, in which latter office and as editor of the Church Eclectic he continued as long as strength endured.
