While Saturday will mark the second game of an exhausting stretch of four matches in eleven days for Ottawa, the club is playing with plenty of confidence at the moment and will be looking to offer another good performance in front of home fans. Ottawa will be looking to avenge their 1-0 loss to the Rowdies back on April 8 in Tampa Bay, but expect yet another close affair between these two former NASL rivals as seven of their ten lifetime meetings have been decided a single goal or less. Since that loss to the Rowdies, Fury FC have gone unbeaten (2W-2D-0L) collecting three shutouts from their last four contests. On offence, Ryan Williams has rekindled his form that wowed crowd to close out the 2016 season. The dynamic midfielder scored on a remarkable free-kick and setup another in the 2-2 last weekend against Charleston and his match-winner Wednesday night against FC Edmonton has him heating up at the right time. Defensively, Callum Irving has been outstanding in the Ottawa goal during this unbeaten run make several clutch saves, none better than the one on Allan Zebie in the Canadian Championship to deny the Eddies’ midfielder of a sure goal. Where the Rowdies are concerned they come to the Nation’s Capital with their first win in four games thanks to a 1-0 victory over Richmond last weekend. After an impressive start to their inaugural USL campaign with three straight wins, Tampa Bay went winless in their next three before snapping that over Richmond. Despite Tampa Bay’s recent run of form, Ottawa must always remain mindful of the Rowdies’ side that boasts the likes of former England International Joe Cole, former Germany international Marcel Schafer and the always dangerous Georgi Hristov who seems to have a knack for scoring against Ottawa. WHAT THEY’RE SAYING: Fury FC GM and Head Coach, Paul Dalglish: “Tampa is a really good team and they didn’t have a midweek game like we did, so they’re going to be a dangerous opponent, like always. But I have so much faith in this group of players that any challenge that we put in front of them they accept and look forward to. It’s going to be a very tough challenge, we’ll need to be patient defensively and make sure that when we get our chances we take them.” Fury FC Captain, Lance Rozeboom: “The spirits are good and we’re continuing to improve. We still have a lot to improve on and we know that, which a positive thing is also. We know that they have a lot of talented players. We’ll be at home so we want to come out a little bit more on the front foot and take it to them. It’s not going to be an easy game, but we’re ready to go.” Fury FC Defender, Ramon Martin Del Campo: “We’ll have to remain disciplined in our shape.
