The reservoir is formed by a masonry dam built a cross the river Harangi, a tributary of the Kaveri. The dam is located about 9km away from the heart of Kushalnagar town. Flow is much higher during the monsoon season. 6TH PLACE - RAJA'S SEAT About -Raja's Seat is a seasonal garden of flowers and artificial fountains. It is one of the most important tourist spots in Madikeri of Coorg District. It is 270 km away from Bangalore, the capital of Karnataka. 7TH PLACE – MADIKERI FORT About-Madikeri Fort also called Mercara Fort was first founded by Mudduraja in the second half of the 17th century. He also built a palace inside the fort. It was eventually rebuilt and restructured in granite by Tipu Sultan who named the site as Jaffara bad 8TH PLACE -TALAKAVERI About –Talakaveri or Talacauvery is the place that is generally considered to be the source of the river Kaveri and a holy place for many Hindus. It is located on Brahmagiri hills near Bhaga mandala in Coorg district, Karnataka. It is located close to the border with Kasaragod district of Kerala State 9TH PLACE BHAGAMANDALA About -During 1785–1790, the area was occupied by Tipu Sultan. The temple was burnt and destroyed. He renamed Bhagamandala to A fesalabad In 1790 King DoddaVira Rajendra took Bhagamandala back into an independent Kodagu kingdom.
