Inspired as a youngster by Mike's multi-instrumental musicianship and technical wizardry, Phil has spent two years transcribing exact notation from the seminal 1973 album, individual multitracks and deluxe edition surround mixes with over an hour of Mike Oldfield’s other music notated. With the participation of Richard Branson, recorded producer Tom Newman, guitarist Jay Stapley, bassist Phil Spalding and Roger Eno, Phil organised two internationally sold out concerts at Colchester Institute in 2015 and a fundraising concert at the Mercury Theatre (raising £8500 for their charity). Phil's Tubular Band is the only UK ensemble performing Mike Oldfield's music in its authentic original style and features seven members of the UCC staff and UCC Music graduates. www.tubularbellslive.com Phil Toms’ music blog on Perfect Pitch: http://www.philtomsmusic.com/?p=1415 Link to personal (professional) website: More information about Phil’s output can be found on the following websites: www.philtomsmusic.com www.myislandhome.co.uk www.tubularbellslive.com https://www.facebook.com/tubularbellslive Publications/consultancy/knowledge Radio Broadcasts transfer: BBC Essex (2015-2018) Weekly film critic Bloom, B.
