These include; Spoken World at 8 p.m. on October 16, Ballet Folklorico de Mexico de Amalia Hernandez at 7:30 p.m. on October 23 and Last Comic Standing at 7:30 p.m. on November 24. Tickets are on sale now and are available at mesaartscenter.com or by calling 480-644-6500. Spoken World will feature Marc Bamuthi Joseph, one of America’s vital voices in performance, arts education and artistic curation. Joseph will articulate the story of achieving manhood in the United States through the lens of hip hop, global travel, and urban environmental health. Ballet Folklorico de Mexico de Amalia Hernandez will bring to life The Face and the Passion of Mexico. Established over six decades ago, this Ballet has represented Mexico in the most renowned stages and spreads the value of Mexican traditions around the world. NBC’s Emmy-nominated Last Comic Standing has launched the careers of comedians such as Doug Benson and Amy Shumer. In November the Season 9 finalists will bring a one-night-only laugh fest to the stage at Mesa Arts Center.
