
YOUTH FESTIVAL Students of F.C. College for Women, Hisar participated in 32 events in Inter Zonal Youth Festival held at GJU S&T, Hisar from 1st to 4th Nov., 2017. Muskan Sharma of B.A. II in classical Inst. Solo, Komal of B.A. I in Classical Music Vocal Solo and Folk Song Haryanvi (Solo) and Haryanvi Group Song stood 1st in the festival. Chetan Sharma of B.Com I in Light Music Vocal (Solo) and Indian Classical Orchestra stood Second. Haryanvi Group Dance stood first and General Group Dance stood second. Sanskrit Play and Mime got Second position in the festival. In the field of fine arts Priyanka of B.A. III in poster making and Neelam of B.A. II in cartooning got 1st position while Monika of B.A. I in Rangoli got 2nd prize in the event. Our college was declared overall 3rd in the Youth Festival. DISTRICT AND STATE LEVEL YOUTH FESTIVAL The students of Fateh Chand College participated in Classical Music Vocal, Haryanvi Group Song, Ragini and Rituals in District (Open) Level Youth Festival held at Bal Bhawan, HSR on 18.11.2017 and 19.11.2017. Ragini, Rituals and Haryanvi Group Dance stood first, whereas, Classical Music Vocal got 2nd position. 1st position holders were given a cash prize of Rs. 1000/- and 2nd position holders were given Rs. 750/- in cash. F.C. College was declared overall champion in the fest. State (Open) level youth fest was organised in Kaithal from 24th Nov. to 26th Nov., 2017. Here team of Ragini stood first and team of Rituals got 3rd prize. Team of Haryanvi Group Dance also gave their performance in the festival. On this event, team of Ragini had got Rs. One Lac/- cash prize and team of rituals got Rs. 50,000/- as cash prize. Komal of B.A. Ist, Arshdeep of B.A. III and Sobhagya of B.A. I were the members of Ragini team and Komal was the main singer in this team. This team will further participate in National Level Youth Festival. RED CROSS 1) International Youth Day was celebrated from 1st Aug. to 15th Aug., 2017. Poster Making competition was organised on 11th Aug. and 12th, 2017. A lecture was delivered by Dr. Satya Sawant, Gynaecologist on the topic "Aids and Youth". A short film was also shown to students on HIV aids. 2) From 17th Sep. to 2nd Oct., 2017 tree plantation and cleanliness campaign was organised in the college campus. 3) 4 Students and Incharge attended RRC training in Govt. College Hisar on 09-01-2018 4) 24 students and Incharge attended one day seminar on Drug De-addiction at CRM Jat College Hisar on 19-01-2018. 5) Training of “First Aid and Home Nursing” were given to 103 students from 20-01-2018 to 26- 01-2018. RED RIBBON CLUB 1. Ten-day karate training camp was organised in the college campus. 130 students participated in it and learnt the tricks of self-defence by Mr. Harish. Prizes were given to the winners on the last day. 2. International Youth Day was celebrated from 1st Aug. to 15th Aug., 2017. Poster Making competition was organised on 11th Aug. and 12th, 2017. PARENTS-TEACHERS ASSOCIATION To facilitate the coordination between parents and teachers, the college organizes PTA regularly. It acts as a bridge between them and helps make better decisions in the interest of the students and the college as well. This year PTA was held on Aug, 17, 2017.More than hundred parents attended the meet. They were given important information about the schedule of assignments and tests of their wards, the facilities of labs and library the students can avail and also hold about the rules and regulations which are mandatory for students to observe. They were also told about the achievements of college in sports, cultural and academics. The parents of the achievers were honoured. The parents met with the teachers of their wards and enquired about the performance of their children. COMMERCE DEPARTMENT Commerce department organized a two-day visit of Bank Officials from Punjab National Bank on 12th& 13th September, 2017. Mr.Suresh Kumar(Deputy Manager),Mr.Ritesh Kumar(Deputy Manager) and Mr. Pankaj Jagra(Swo-CA) visited the college to guide the students about the benefits of a Bank Account and successfully opened the bank account of students as well as staff members of the college too. SEMINAR One Day National Seminar on “Women Education and Empowerment in 21st century” was organized by college on 13th October, 2017. The seminar was sponsored by Director Higher Education, Haryana. Prof. K.P. Singh, VC, CCSHAU, Hisar Inaugurated the seminar and Dr.RajbirMor, Registrar, Ch. Ranbir Singh University, Jind was the Chief Guest for the valedictory session. More than 200 delegates from various universities and colleges attended the seminar. There were relevant discussions and deliberations on the theme and sub-themes of the Seminar. The invited speakers shared their views on the topic which led to conclusion and suggested what more needs to be done to achieve the goals in this sphere. NCC 1) 07 Cadets participated in CATC & Pre-RDC organised at Rohtak. 2) 04 Cadets participated in All India NCC Girls Trekking camp in Baijnath-Paprola (Himachal Pradesh) and 01 cadet won Gold Medal. 3) 05 Cadets participated in ThalSainik Camp Organised at Darolli. Nidhi secured Gold Medal in shooting in that camp. 4) 19 Cadets participated in 15th August parade at Mahabir stadium in 2017 and won 1stposition. 5) 03 Cadets participated in ThalSainik Camp and Nidhi got Silver medal in shooting and got selected for All India ThalSainik Camp. 6) Under officer Nidhi participated in All India ThalSainik Camp 2017 in Delhi along with NCC officer SunitaRaheja . 7) 05 Cadets participated in CATC and Pre-RDC at Rohtak. 8) 03 cadets participated in Regular Army attachment camp at Ambala Cantt and 01 Cadet won Gold Medal. 9) SoniyaDuhanparticipated in Officer Training Academy, Chennai and was selected as Section Commander of Directorates of Punjab,Haryana,Himachal Pradesh ,Chandigarh &Uttrakhand & Maharasthra. 10) 03 Cadets participated in Pre-RDC Camp in Ropar. 11) Mamta Phaugat participated in RDC 2018 and represented Haryana,Punjab,Himachal and Chandigarh Directorate and secured the position of Army Wing Commander at all India level. NSS 1) 1/8/17: - One-day seminar was organised in college campus in which students took pledge to devote 100 hours on cleanliness every year. 2) 2/8/2017 to 5/8/17: - College Campus was cleaned under SwachhtaPakhwada. 3) 5/8/17: -N.S. S volunteers participated in a program on “Mahilla Police Diwas” at Ranbir Singh auditorium, GJUST,Hisar. 4) 9/8/17: - N.S.S volunteers cleaned the slum area of Dhobi Ghat and Rishi Nagar and tried to aware the public on cleanliness. 5) 11/8/17: - A rally was organised to create awareness on Swachhta by N.S.S volunteers. 6) 12/8/17: -Dr. Satya Savant delivered a lecture on HIV AIDS to create awareness on this serious disease on International Youth Day with the collaboration of N.S.S, Red Ribbon Club, Red Cross and Women Cell. 8) 5/9/17: - An essay writing competition and short film competition were organised in college. In essay writing competition, Tamanna, BSc 2nd (4020) got the first position, Sheetal, BSc 2nd (4014) got second position and Kajal B.A. 3rd (2640) got third position. 9) 27/9/17: - Students participated in Choreography and Group Singing in Patriotic Cultural Programme “MAA TUJHE SALAAM” organised in GJUS&T ,Hisar. 10) 31/10/17: - 34 N.S.S volunteers participated in SwarnJayanti closing ceremony function organised in Mahavir Stadium, Hisar. 11) 31/10/17: - On the birthday of SardarVallabh Bhai Patel, under the programme of “Run for Unity” students participated and took the pledge of National Integration. 12) 14/10/17: - Students presented the items” Rituals “ in “ BetiBachaoBetiPadhao” cycle rally and BetiSammanSamaroh and cultural programme and got gold medal and certificate by PMFO,Hisar 13) 12/1/18: - A short film on AIDS was shown to students on International Youth Day with the collaboration of N.S.S, Red Cross and Women Cell. 14) 19/01/18: -NSS Volunteers attended one day seminar on Drug De-addictionin CRMJatCollege,Hisar 15) 20-01-2016 - 26-01-2018: -Seven day NSS Camp was organised in college Campus. 103 NSS Volunteers participated in it. It was inaugurated by Principal Ms MadhuKakkarone-week Training on Disaster Management and First Aid and Home Nursing were given to the volunteers during camp. Students cleaned the college campus. They also participated in various activities and competitions like Rangoli, Mehandi, Poem Recitation, News-paper Making, Slogan Writing, Poster making, Best out of Waste etc. Students were motivated by various speakers. Dr ArchanaMalik, Dr ParmodShastri,Dr Monika Kakkar,DrChahal, Dr Sujata Sanghi, Dr Geetu addressed the students during the camp. Volunteers celebrated Voters day on 25th Jan &took pledge to vote without being biased.Each volunteer collected voters data from 10 families of their ward.Dr Parveen Garg from Ekkam group gave lecture on Naturopathy and inspired students to use natural drugs to lead a healthy life. 16) 28-01-2018- 30-01-2018: -28 NSS volunteers participated in Pulse Polio Abhiyan. ECO CLUB 1/8/2018 organised Tree Plantation in Collaboration with N.S.S. Many ornamental, fruit & Medicinal Plants were planted in college campus. 21/08/2017 Promoted cycling in college morning Assembly by giving incentives to the students.
