With the almighty's grace and sheer faith in my heart, I speak to all my dear students and parents to stay united and work together for a better tomorrow. Enhancement of language acquisition requires reading and writing skills in regularity, and for this purpose, we present to you the GIS Newsletter where we expect our students to focus on various literary pursuits and develop their reading and creative writing skills. We at Gateway International School, Sonipat have been leading as an example of rigorous efforts to keep a steady flow of learning and exploring for the encouragement of our students and teachers. My heartfelt message for all is that you may have the strength to fight in the face of fear and continue to prosper. STAY HOME STAY SAFE! Regards Prem Ojha, Principal Gateway International School Message from the Headmistress ‘Creativity is imagination and imagination is for everyone.’ - Paul Ardon It gives me immense pleasure to introduce to you our e-magazine, GIS Times: Udaan, a great way to communicate and be creative. The e-magazine is one of the many sincere efforts by the school to keep the parents abreast of the various school events and at the same time provide our learners with a platform where they will be encouraged to exhibit their creativity and soar up high with the wings of imagination. Udaan will reflect upon the various thought-driven drills and activities conducted in the classrooms on an ongoing basis. Moreover, Reading and Writing have always been our core focus areas, hence, we wish to concoct good readers and writers through this endeavour. The unprecedented hardships of the lockdown imposed due to Covid-19 had put each of us in a situation for which we had no experience and little preparation. But we adapted to the new world of virtual classes with a sense of gratification and it empowered us to continue the teaching – learning process for our learners. This wouldn’t have been possible without the invincible ability of the GIS Family – its Management, Teachers, Parents and Learners. I express my deep appreciation and hearty congratulations to the Editorial Board and to all those who have taken interest and pain to put together the efforts and work of the learners in shaping the School Magazine. I earnestly pray that we live up to the name, “Udaan” and keep flying high towards the limitless sky. Regards Indu Dhingra Headmistress/GIS Inspiring young Indians… Dream it. Wish it. Do it.
